  • Corolla
  • Stamens

Types of Flowers.

Flowers are of two types based on gender.

  • Bisexual flowers – Flowers that have both stamens and pistils.

Examples: Hibiscus, mustard, and rose.

  • Unisexual flowers – Flowers that have only one sex.

Two types:

  • Masculine – containing only stamens.
  • Feminine – containing only pistils.

Examples: corn, papaya.

Flower cultivation is called floriculture.
